Feamainn II, 2026
£155.00 / Sold Out
Hand embroidery & ink print on Irish linen | Wool and mixed threads (naturally dyed silk threads) | One-off work | Dimensions to be added
Feamainn (Irish for seaweed) is based on the memory of peering into a rockpool as a child, leaning close to the water's surface, curious and just a little nervous that a crab might suddenly nip your nose. The work draws on those moments watching seaweed shift and swirl beneath the surface like marble paper.
The embroidery is worked using a mixture of wool, silk and various other threads. Some are naturally dyed, while others are vintage threads sourced from charity shops, bringing together materials with their own histories.
This is a unique work. There are no reproductions, no editions, made by hand.
Made in Ireland.
Feamainn II will arrive unframed on a mounting board, ready for framing.
It will be posted within three working days.
